The Zero Capital Partnership scheme links building owners with EPC firms to maximise building energy efficiency retrofits.

Overview

Energy performance contracting or EPC is steadily gaining traction as a viable solution to retrofitting older buildings for greater efficiency, and have received acknowledgement under the Green Mark Scheme administered by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA). Industry Accreditation

As part of its deep involvement with the green building ecosystem, SGBC has been working with industry partners to further refine and enhance the EPC Category under the Singapore Green Building Services (SGBS) labelling scheme. Under Section 4.03d (iii) Energy Performance Contracting (Advanced Green Effort) of Green Mark 2015, 1 point will be awarded to the green building project if a SGBS-certified Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) firm has been engaged to implement suitable projects that guarantee operational system efficiency over a minimum of 3 years.

The fees for SGBS EPC Firm Accreditation are as follow:

SGBC Member

Non-SGBC Member

$1500

SGBS EPC Firm Accreditation is valid for 2 years once the assessment is completed, after which it can be renewed.
